Pharmacist Specialist in Elderly Care

We offer comprehensive secondary and tertiary care, including specialist services like cardiothoracic surgery, kidney transplantation, neurosurgery, and the regional trauma Centre.
The Health Care for the Elderly (HCE) Department at UHP provides high-quality patient-focused services across Plymouth, South Devon, and East Cornwall. Our team is dedicated to delivering excellent care to elderly patients, working closely with community partners to deliver comprehensive health and social care.
We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Lead Pharmacist for Healthcare of the Frail and Elderly. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients within this area, working closely with the Lead Pharmacist and Associate Chief Pharmacist for Clinical Services.

Job Responsibilities- Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients within the Healthcare of the Frail and Elderly area.
- Work closely with the Lead Pharmacist and Associate Chief Pharmacist for Clinical Services to develop and implement clinical pharmacy policies and guidelines.
- Lead and manage the Pharmacy Team within the HCE department, ensuring effective use of resources and systems.
- Monitor and review medicines-related incidents and ensure compliance with local and national standards.
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives within the HCE department.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
