Job Title: Pharmacist Leader for Elderly Care

At University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacist to lead our team in delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients within the Healthcare of the Elderly and Frailty areas.

About the Role

As a Pharmacist Leader for Elderly Care, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to our clinical pharmacy team, working closely with the Lead Pharmacist and Associate Chief Pharmacist for Clinical Services. You will develop and implement clinical pharmacy policies, monitor drug expenditure, and provide highly specialist clinical pharmacy care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy policies and guidelines within the Healthcare of the Elderly and Frailty areas.
  2. Monitor and review medicines-related incidents, ensuring that corrective actions are taken to prevent future occurrences.
  3. Provide highly specialist clinical pharmacy care to patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  4. Manage and lead the healthcare of the elderly and frailty pharmacy teams, including junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
