Investment Manager Oversight Analyst

As an Investment Manager Oversight Analyst, you will play a critical role in our Investment Office, working closely with the Manager Oversight Team to conduct investment due diligence on all investment managers and select new investment managers that align with our clients' outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the overall investment due diligence effort, incorporating ESG and Sustainable Investment factors to identify top quartile propositions across all investment manager universes.
  • Build and maintain investment universes across major asset classes, including equities, fixed income, property, alternatives, and multi-asset, with a focus on investment approaches such as Traditional, Thematics, ESG, and Sustainable Investing.
  • Conduct ongoing detailed investment due diligence on identified top quartile propositions, incorporating market and economic research to inform due diligence views.
  • Develop expertise in certain asset class universes and enhance the investment due diligence effort without deviating from the Investment Due Diligence Framework.
  • Build strong relationships with investment managers across the business and the broader investment manager community.
  • Support the distribution teams in Pru with manager views and underlying fund/strategy knowledge.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Strong experience in fund research/investment due diligence roles, with experience across all major asset class groups, ideally public equities and/or fixed income.
  • CFA or equivalent qualification preferred but not required.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills in internal and external environments.
  • Ability to work in a small team environment with frequent and informal communication.
  • Proactive nature, with the ability to read widely, consider companies/industries/products, and suggest potential investment ideas/areas of future analysis.
