KS2 Intervention Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled KS2 Intervention Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust in Birmingham. As an integral part of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting students who need additional help to reach their academic potential.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 2 to make a meaningful impact on student progress through targeted intervention sessions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Deliver Intervention Programs: Work closely with KS2 pupils who need extra support in literacy and numeracy, planning and delivering tailored intervention sessions to meet individual needs.
- Assessment and Progress Tracking: Use assessment data and teacher input to identify KS2 students requiring additional intervention and track their progress to ensure consistent growth.
- Collaboration with Class Teachers: Collaborate with KS2 class teachers to ensure intervention strategies align with the broader curriculum and classroom goals.
- Social and Emotional Support: Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that helps KS2 children build confidence and achieve academic growth through intervention.
- Parent Communication: Communicate with parents and carers to keep them informed about their child's progress and provide strategies for additional support at home.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualifications and Experience: A qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 2 and a proven track record of supporting students' progress through intervention.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate KS2 pupils who require additional interventions.
- Adaptability: Familiarity with intervention strategies and the ability to adapt teaching methods based on students' needs.
- Passion for Education: A proactive and flexible approach with a passion for helping KS2 children overcome challenges and succeed through tailored intervention.
