Serving our blind veteran community requires dedicated individuals like you to provide essential companionship.

At Volunteer Centre Harlow, we need volunteers who can engage with veterans in a supportive manner, building meaningful relationships and promoting independence.

Your duties may include:

  • Regular visits to veterans' homes
  • Engaging in conversations and activities to combat loneliness
  • Assisting with household tasks and errands
  • Encouraging veterans to participate in local activities

We estimate the hourly compensation for this position is £12-15, depending on your location within Chelmsford.

Please note that you will not be required to perform any personal care tasks.

We value reliability and punctuality in our volunteers, and we ask that you commit to being flexible around your other responsibilities.

In return, we provide comprehensive training and support to ensure your success in this volunteer role.
