Job Title: Mental Health Support Specialist

This role at Academics in Luton offers a unique opportunity for a Psychology or Criminology graduate to develop their skills and knowledge in supporting children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The successful candidate will provide first-class support to children with ADHD, communication difficulties, Down syndrome, and speech, language, and communication needs.

Salary: £23,500 - £25,600 per annum (approx. £460-£500 per week)

This is a long-term contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 16:30, perfect for someone seeking hands-on experience working with SEN students to develop their understanding and knowledge through education and training.

Requirements:
  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates
  • A keen interest in mental health and Autism
  • Knowledge of the range of different types of learning and behavioral needs (SEMH elements of the provision)

This position is ideal for those interested in youth work and looking to develop their career in education and training.
