Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and empathetic Home Support Worker to provide daily living support to an individual in their home and community around the Newington area in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will work closely with family members and other team members to promote independence, encourage personal growth, and help achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with daily chores, activities such as reading, writing, and gardening.

  2. Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting a sense of well-being.

  3. Use your own initiative and be adaptable to changing needs, demonstrating a warm and friendly personality.

Working with Thistle Foundation

  • Competitive starting salary £12.10 per hour (£24,538 per annum (FTE)), rising to £12.40 per hour (£25,147 (FTE)).

  • Fantastic training opportunities, including enhanced learning in person-centred practice, leadership skills, IT, and bespoke courses.

  • SSSC registration paid for by Thistle.

  • Support to achieve SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

  • Regular meetings with your team, Lead Practitioner, or Coach.
