Territory Sales Consultant

As a Territory Sales Consultant, you will be driving growth in top-line sales at assigned B&Q stores in the region through implementing sales and marketing programs, training activities, service, and merchandising responsibilities.
This role is ideal for someone with sales or customer service experience from within a retail or customer-facing environment, ideally with management or training experience. The position holds an attractive salary, sales bonus, lunch allowance, company car, fuel card, company pension, and ongoing career development and training.
Sales Responsibilities
- Establish strong selling relationships with store associates, store management, and other customer contacts.
- Continually promote and represent the brand and product strengths to B&Q store teams and consumers.
- Utilize the CRM system to document sales calls and store visits.
- Conduct events to promote products and increase sales.
- Ensure in-store activations and business activity are executed successfully in each store.
- Prepare performance summaries to the Regional Manager of Sales performance, Training, Business Directed Activity, and In-Store Activations monthly that meet or exceed goals.
- Develop, promote, implement, and evaluate partnerships across the customer base, including periodic formal meetings with Store Unit Managers as directed by the business.
- Ensure that the Sherwin-Williams brands are leveraged across the customer base.
Training Responsibilities
- Conduct product knowledge training sessions for all B&Q Store teams, including features, benefits, selling skills, and product demonstrations.
- Conduct sales training to current and newly hired B&Q Store Team members.
- Train store teams on equipment, in-store excellence, and maintenance.
Service Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities in service and upselling and maximize resource at store level with solutions.
- Assist store teams with all customer service activities, including tinting and mixing paint as needed.
- Department review of all SW products, ensuring products are fully stocked and properly displayed, and replacing defective products.
Merchandising and Color Collateral Responsibilities
- Maintain store signage, merchandising displays, color chip, and color card stock.
- Order inventory of collateral to ensure inventory is stocked.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
- Region support as needed.
- Attend required conference calls.
- Attend local and non-local trainings as required.
- Attend Regional Sales Meetings and National Sales Meetings.
- Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner, including CRM logging, expense reporting, and other tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or merchandising.
- Experience coaching and mentoring others is an advantage.
- Retail experience.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including 2 Saturdays a month and bank holidays.
- Valid driver's license required for the role.
