About the Role

The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is seeking a skilled and experienced Reservations Agent to join our Front Office team. As a key member of our sales and reservations team, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue potential and ensuring accurate and complete records of all reservations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Front Office team and Sales Manager to achieve departmental objectives and budget.
  • Ensure the telephone is answered promptly in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Establish client requirements and identify how the hotel can facilitate their needs.
  • Respond to all Reservations and Sales & Catering enquiries in-line with company standards while maximizing sales, occupancy and revenue.
  • Accurately input all enquiries into our Sales & Catering system.
  • Deal with all enquiries promptly and follow up on a timely basis.
  • Compile accurate function sheets and distribute weekly to the Operations Team.
  • Actively work as part of a team to achieve departmental objectives and budget.
  • Take payments and ensure all postings are accurate.

Requirements

  • Previous hospitality and customer service experience.
  • Ability to work within a team as some Reception cover will be required.
  • Previous experience working within a Reservations, Meeting & Events Sales, Front Office team or similar role.
  • Experience of OPERA/Opera Cloud; Sales & Catering/Delphi.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and often to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to use initiative while working on own and as part of the team with a positive can-do attitude.

About the Hotel

The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is a beautifully maintained historic building situated in the heart of Aberdeen's West End. The hotel offers 87 bedrooms, all with modern amenities.

The hotel's Grain Store Bistro & Bar offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with something for everyone from our delicious menu. Our Aberdon Function Suite, with private bar, is ideal for conferences, exhibitions, private events, and weddings.
