Job Title: Specialty Doctor in General Ophthalmology and Non-Surgical Glaucoma

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Ophthalmology department at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with general ophthalmology and non-surgical glaucoma conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and clinical audit
  • Focus on general ophthalmology and glaucoma, contributing to the general ophthalmology and emergency service at the Leicester Royal Infirmary site and associated community hospitals
  • Join an active and enthusiastic team of 27 Ophthalmologists, providing both generalist and sub-specialist ophthalmology services within the UHL
Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration
  • MBBS/MRCS
  • 4 years full-time postgraduate training or equivalent, with at least 2 years as an Ophthalmology trainee
  • Evidence of commitment to sub-specialty Uveitis
