  • Contribute to the General Ophthalmology and emergency service on the Leicester Royal Infirmary site and associated community hospitals.

  • Undertake management duties and work in a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

The appointee will join an active and enthusiastic team of 27 Ophthalmologists, providing sub-specialist and generalist Ophthalmology services within the UHL. The role requires a strong commitment to teaching, research, and evidence-based practice.

Person Specification

  • Full GMC registration.
  • MBBS/MRCS.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to teaching.
  • Ability to work in MDT teams and supervise juniors.
  • Ability to cope in stressful situations.
