Care Experienced Young People Advocate

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Experienced Young People Advocate to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting care experienced young people to overcome difficulties and achieve their full potential. Your primary responsibility will be to work directly with young people and their families or carers to build trusting relationships that facilitate meaningful and sustainable change.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable young people and their families, as well as relevant legislation, national standards, policy, and practice. A relevant vocational qualification (at least NVQ4) is essential for this role.

Key duties include managing statutory case responsibilities for care experienced young people in need of help and protection, developing trauma-informed practice, and delivering an efficient leaving care service to support the outcomes of The Children and Social Work Act 2017 and the Children Act 1989.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including young people, parents, and carers.
