Mentor for Students with Learning Disabilities

Are you passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Mentor to join our team at a local college in Cambridge. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to empower students to achieve greater independence and success in their studies.
Job Summary- To collaborate with subject lecturers and assessors to support students in various learning environments, including both classroom and off-site settings.
- To assist students in accessing curricula by adapting resources such as enlarging text, using enabling technologies, and offering note-taking or word processing support.
The ideal candidate will have GCSEs in English and Maths, recent experience supporting individuals with special educational needs, and computer literacy. A Level 2 Learning Support Qualification is desirable but not essential.
We offer a competitive salary of £22,169 to £22,724 per annum (FTE), plus a range of benefits including enhanced DBS check and training opportunities.
