About the Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated individual to provide one-to-one educational support to children in care, those with special educational needs, and excluded pupils across Cambridgeshire. As a specialist tutor, you will be responsible for delivering sessions focused on English and Maths, adapting your teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of these students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 tutoring sessions to disengaged students, promoting academic growth and motivation.
  • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and learning style.
  • Collaborate with Prospero Teaching to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tutoring experience, with a proven track record of success in supporting vulnerable students.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of disengaged learners.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
  • Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
