Xact Placements Limited seeks an experienced IT Service Desk Technician to fill an Onsite Support Engineer position based in London.
Main Job Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with systems, offering expert advice to customers.
- Use a ticket management system to manage assigned tickets, ensuring prompt response and resolution.
- Offer remote desktop/server support for Windows environments, adhering to agreed service level agreements.
- Analyze server and platform monitoring alerts, applying fixes as needed.
- Patch servers and desktops using centrally managed systems.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
- Contribute to technical projects for technology deployments and upgrades.
- Superior communication skills.
- Substantial knowledge of networking principles, including troubleshooting protocol expertise.
- Extensive experience in server support and virtual environments (VMware).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Server and Office 365.
- Knowledge of backup solutions.
- Comprehension of ITIL best practices.
- A competitive annual salary of £37,000-£41,000.
- Overtime and on-call pay.
