About the Role
As Arm-based computing continues to expand into diverse sectors like IoT, automotive, laptops, cloud servers, and high-performance computing (HPC), academic developers require comprehensive knowledge to harness the full potential of the Arm ecosystem.
The Arm Education and Academic Engagements team collaborates with a wide range of industrial and academic partners. We are seeking an experienced Ecosystem Development Manager with expertise in embedded systems, SoC deployment, and academic engagement to leverage partnerships at scale and empower successful projects. Our mission is to simplify and enhance the experience of working with energy-efficient compute solutions. You will join a diverse team driven by a user-centric ethos, alongside specialists in publishing and program management who work closely with academia as part of a larger group dedicated to developer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical colleagues, program managers, ecosystem partners, and academic institutions globally to identify the needs of academic users.
- Leverage partnerships to lower the barriers for embedded and SoC developers utilizing Arm technology, addressing both academic and industry requirements.
- Cultivate and nurture academic communities of practice in education and research, catering to the evolving needs of both academia and industry.
- Lead by example and inspire others to create technical content, build technology demonstrators, and contribute to the growth of developer communities.
Required Skills and Experience
- A strong technical understanding and practical experience in embedded systems and SoC development.
- Experience in ecosystem and/or academic management within the technology sector.
- Exceptional abstract reasoning skills with the ability to focus on key concepts at all levels of detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences at various seniority levels.
- Experience in technical writing, building technology demonstrators, and managing stakeholder relationships at different levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a distributed team.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience
- Experience in software-hardware co-design and optimizing software workloads for hardware, particularly Arm-based platforms.
- Proven experience in developing scalable interventions and platforms that demonstrably deliver greater value with less effort, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
