Academic Deputy Head
Job Summary:The Association of Academic Museums & Galleries seeks a strategic leader to drive and support a vision as the Academic Deputy Head. This role develops and manages administrative functions, provides direction, and ensures the effectiveness of ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement new initiatives to advance the museums' objectives.
- Oversee and direct key operations and facilities projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Director's directs, including Curatorial, Academic & Public Programs, Institutional Advancement, and the Straus Center for Conservation & Technical Studies.
- Manage Finance, Communications, Collections Management, Digital Infrastructure & Emerging Technologies, Facilities, Security, Museum Archives, and Project and Program Management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in academic leadership, strategic planning, and operations management. They will be able to drive and support a vision, develop and implement new initiatives, and ensure the effectiveness of ongoing operations.
