Academic Deputy Head

Job Summary:

The Association of Academic Museums & Galleries seeks a strategic leader to drive and support its vision as a premier collection, research, and education center. The Academic Deputy Head will develop and manage administrative functions, provide direction, and implement new initiatives to ensure the effectiveness of ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage administrative functions to support the organization's objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to key operations and facilities projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director and other senior leaders to advance the organization's mission.
  • Oversee and direct Finance, Communications, Collections Management, Digital Infrastructure & Emerging Technologies, Facilities, Security, Museum Archives, and Project and Program Management.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and management experience, with a focus on academic programs and initiatives. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
