About Us

The Epwin Group is a leading manufacturer and distributor of building products, operating across the UK and Europe.

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant Trainee to join our finance team at our headquarters in Shrewsbury.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be studying towards a professional qualification such as AAT or ACCA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of full monthly Management Accounts.
  • Analyse financial and business data to assess performance and inform management decisions.
  • Produce key reports in a timely and accurate manner to support business performance.
  • Liaise with other areas of the finance function, including Purchase ledger and Sales ledger.
  • Involvement in monthly Balance sheet and Intercompany reconciliations.
  • Monthly stock and material reporting and reconciliations.
  • Produce a monthly departmental manager's pack giving overall business performance and budgeted variance analysis.
  • Update and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Reporting of Intrastat data.
  • Provide input for Budgets and Forecasts.
  • Year End tasks - Liaise with auditors – processing schedules and analysis as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • AAT4, QBE, Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA qualifications.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Good Microsoft Office applications knowledge.

Salary:£35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits.
