Role Overview
Maintain the financial health of the BMW site by overseeing daily operations and ensuring all accounting processes are in place. Assist with balance sheet control, risk/audit management, inventory checks, working capital management, and ongoing cost reviews.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Liaise with local management and accounting staff to ensure consistency.
  • Manage risk and working capital matters.
  • Ensure accounts office tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Weekly Tasks
  • Prepare bad debt provision reports and reviews.
  • Reconcile manufacturer bonus debt.

Monthly Duties
  • Assist with the production of management accounts for the dealership leadership team, dealership accountant, and group finance.
  • Calculate and post accruals and prepayments.
  • Demo write-down and fixed asset depreciation.
  • Submit composite data to Volkswagen.
  • Prepare key controls and sales/purchase ledger close and review reports.

About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Dealership Accountant. The ideal candidate has 1 year of experience as an Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant with demonstrable skills and qualifications. Current or previous Automotive experience is desirable but not essential.

Location
Scunthorpe, DN15 8PT. The successful candidate must be able to commute to Scunthorpe reliably or plan to relocate before starting work.
