Cognitive Analytic Therapist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cognitive Analytic Therapist or Clinical Psychologist to join our team in providing specialist psychological services to individuals with complex emotional needs associated with personality disorder. As part of our Complex Emotional Needs pathway, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions and provide expert advice and consultation to colleagues.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct specialist psychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for individuals with personality disorder.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including formulation and care planning, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other professionals, including family interventions and advice to non-professional carers.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of the team's operational policies and services, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service valuation, and audit.
- Manage the workloads of assistant and trainee clinical psychologists, within the framework of the team's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified in Cognitive Analytic Therapy or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
- Doctoral level or equivalent training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and secondary care settings.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
- Extensive experience in the NHS.
Desirable:
- Experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental health problems, including psychosis.
- Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision.
- Experience of the application of clinical psychology in different cultural contexts.
