About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Adult Perinatal Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior medical professional to provide specialist care and guidance to adults with mental health needs across Redbridge and Barking.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support individuals and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of adult perinatal mental health care and be able to demonstrate innovative and motivated approaches to care delivery.

This is a full-time fixed-term post for 12 months, with a salary range of £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (pro-rata). The role involves participating in the on-call rota, with a Category A on-call supplement (pro-rata) provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Working directly with adults and their families, and liaising as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participating in the on-call rota and providing on-call support when required

Person Specification:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent qualification
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
