Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Hub Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will work with vulnerable adults in our hubs, providing emotional support, practical assistance, and connecting them to relevant services.
Key Activities- Organize and lead social activities, events, and recreational sessions to promote a sense of community and well-being among service users.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere in our hubs by facilitating informal conversations and encouraging service users to engage with each other.
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of new and existing service users, and develop personalized plans to address these needs.
- Provide one-to-one support to service users, helping them to build relationships, develop life skills, and access additional resources as needed.
- Secondary School Education (Essential)
- Further or higher education in social care, community work, or related fields (Desirable)
- Training in Peer Support or Mental Health First Aid (Desirable)
- Experience in health or social care (Essential)
- Experience working in mental health or the charity sector (Essential)
- Understanding of recovery and factors affecting mental health (Essential)
- Knowledge of equal opportunities and socioeconomic factors impacting mental health (Essential)
The estimated salary for this role is £26,000-£31,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including paid training, opportunities for career development, and a supportive work environment.
