Enterprise Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to support and embed a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework within Thames Water. This is an integral role responsible for managing the implementation of enterprise risk management policies and processes across all business units.
Key Responsibilities- Establish Effective Communication Channels
Develop and maintain effective lines of communication with internal key stakeholders and risk owners to ensure seamless risk management.
Risk Identification and AssessmentCollaborate with the business to identify and assess operational risks, ensuring a thorough understanding of potential threats and opportunities.
Reporting and ComplianceSupport the Head of Enterprise Risk Management in ensuring enterprise risk management reporting requirements meet the UK Corporate Governance Code and other statutory obligations.
Risk Management CultureContribute to the enhancement of the risk management culture within Thames Water, promoting a proactive and risk-aware approach.
Decision-Making SupportProvide support to ensure risk management is an integral part of the decision-making process, closely linked to Thames Water's business objectives and performance metrics.
Risk Registers and EscalationManage risk registers and facilitate the identification, assessment, and prioritization of key risks with the business, assisting in the escalation of any risk for inclusion within the Principal Risk dashboard.
Requirements- Extensive Risk Management Experience
Proven experience in supporting the implementation of effective risk management strategies and frameworks in an organization.
Strong Risk Management KnowledgeExcellent understanding and working knowledge of current risk management frameworks.
Effective Communication and PresentationAbility to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, as well as excellent presentation skills.
Collaboration and InfluenceAble to operate effectively in a flexible, agile way, influencing and building strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
Subject Matter ExpertiseProvide subject matter expertise and support the development of risk training.
Regulatory KnowledgeExperience working with senior teams to deliver risk reports and analysis, and being a trusted advisor.
Personal QualitiesA strong sense of personal resilience, ability to remain focused on the bigger picture, and comfortable with constructively challenging business leaders.
Desirable Qualifications- Utility Industry Experience
Experience in the utility industry, regulated environment, or FTSE250.
Recognized Risk Management QualificationRecognized qualification in Risk Management (e.g., BA Risk Management, CertIRM) or working towards one.
What We Offer- Competitive Salary
Competitive salary circa £55,000 per annum depending on experience.
Annual LeaveAnnual leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
