About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Digital Services team at SSE Enterprise. As an OT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Digital Service Operational Technology projects.

These projects will encompass incremental enhancements on existing products to development and implementation of new technology solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery, managing scope, budget, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage product development projects from initial inception to operational deployment in line with business strategy and requirements.
  • Ensure projects are managed within scope and budget, with realistic time targets defined and agreed.
  • Manage team members in a matrix capacity, using a participative management style to optimize performance.
  • Drive the creation of project deliverables from functional teams and direct these to effective project milestones.
  • Analyze and identify project risks, developing mitigation strategies to eliminate or minimize risks of not meeting objectives.

Requirements:

  • A degree-level qualification in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Skills in project management and change management approaches, such as Agile delivery, Prince2, APM, or PMP.
  • The ability to analyze complex information, quickly understand where value can be created, and present clear and concise information.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of the Energy industry and distributed assets, markets, codes, technologies, and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of National Grid systems, digital interfaces, and critical systems.
