Job Summary:

Project People is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Accounting Function, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class accounting services through efficient processes and effective management of external service providers.

About the Role:

This is a 3-month day rate contract opportunity that requires the successful candidate to be available to start as soon as possible. The role reports into the Senior Accounting Manager and sits within the Financial Accounting Function, which is committed to delivering high-quality accounting services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting for the shared network with EE and Retail estate, both of which are administered by external service providers and report under IFRS 16 and IAS 17.
  • Develop and implement efficient accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with external service providers to ensure effective management of accounting services.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the team.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong technical accounting skills, including working knowledge of IFRS 16 or IAS 17.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ICAEW)
  • At least 3 years PQE (Post Qualified Experience)
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including working knowledge of IFRS 16 or IAS 17
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
