The NHS is seeking a highly skilled Older Adults Mental Health Specialist to join the Community Care Team in Mendip. The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing and managing older adults with mental health needs.

Job Description:
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health needs of community patients in their community area.
  • Work closely with the community teams to provide effective multidisciplinary collaborative care.

This is a permanent, full-time 10 PA role position, although a part-time position would be considered. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Duties:
  1. Act as Responsible Clinician for community patients subject to a compulsory treatment order under the Mental Health Act (CTOs).
  2. Provide visible and clear clinical leadership to the mental health service both locally and across the Trust.
  3. Maintain good standing for Continuing Professional Development (CPD); the Trust actively encourages continuing professional development.
