Job Title: Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Scientist to join our dynamic R&D team at Discover International.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in initiating innovative ideas for assay development to identify pathway biology of novel drug targets. You will make use of cellular, immunological, biochemical, molecular biology, and functional genomic approaches to validate drug targets and novel therapeutic agents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct experimental research related to oncology and fibrosis, including molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  2. Establish robust cell-based assays aimed at target discovery, MOA validation, and drug screening.
  3. Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to assess the efficacy of drug candidates.
  4. Analyse, interpret, report, and present results.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance oncology research programs.
  6. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on research experience in oncology.
  2. Practical experience in cancer biology, immunology, and pharmacology.
  3. Strong track record of scientific publications in cancer research.
  4. Experience in assay development, immuno-oncology, and cell death biology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. PhD in Biomedical sciences, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
  2. Prior working experience in the biotech/pharma industry performing laboratory research.
