We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Scientific Director to lead our oncology research and development initiatives.

This role requires a strong understanding of the current oncology landscape, including immuno-oncology, targeted therapies, and precision medicine. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading successful oncology R&D programs from discovery through clinical development.

The Scientific Director will oversee all preclinical and translational research activities, ensuring scientific excellence in drug discovery, biomarkers, and companion diagnostics. They will also foster collaboration with academic institutions, industry partners, and regulatory agencies to accelerate research programs and bring innovative therapies to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the scientific vision and strategy for oncology research and development programs, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Research Oversight: Oversee all preclinical and translational research activities, ensuring scientific excellence in drug discovery, biomarkers, and companion diagnostics.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Foster collaboration with academic institutions, industry partners, and regulatory agencies to accelerate research programs and bring innovative therapies to market.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a world-class team of scientists and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Innovation and Pipeline Expansion: Identify new scientific opportunities and technologies to expand the company's oncology pipeline, with a focus on developing first-in-class and best-in-class therapies.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Provide scientific leadership and support for regulatory submissions, including INDs, NDAs, and BLAs.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the oncology research budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present scientific strategy and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and key opinion leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Immunologist PhD
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in oncology research and drug development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of leading successful oncology R&D programs from discovery through clinical development
  • Strong understanding of the current oncology landscape, including immuno-oncology, targeted therapies, and precision medicine
  • Experience with regulatory processes and submissions in oncology drug development
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams

Estimated Salary: $250,000 - $350,000 per annum
