About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Scientific Project Associate to join our team at PTEN Research Foundation. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the delivery of our scientific strategy and contributing to our mission to fund and facilitate research into the rare genetic condition PTEN Hamartoma Tumour Syndrome (PHTS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Support the Foundation team members to explore potential external partnerships aligned with our strategy, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, and minute-taking.
  • Academic Collaborations and Granted Work: Manage and track grant applications, monitor and evaluate research projects, and prepare project tracking tools and documentation.
  • Pharma/Biotech and Other Commercial Collaborations: Support the day-to-day management of relationships for Pharma/Biotech and other commercial collaborations, including scheduling meetings and preparing meeting materials.
  • Scientific Advisory Board (SAB): Support the Scientific Leadership Team in discussions with the SAB, including scheduling meetings and tracking charters.
  • Contract Negotiation: Support the development of contracts and agreements based on Foundation precedents, including scheduling internal and external contract review meetings.
  • Finance: Support the monitoring of the financial status of approved projects, preparing documentation to support project payments, and ensuring the timely and accurate execution of Foundation payments.
Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Prior work experience in a scientific or medical research environment is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to successfully track, manage, and deliver multiple projects in parallel to agreed timelines.
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office software, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
