Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at HMP Elmley or HMP Swaleside. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders and work as part of the Mental Health Team and wider mental health services.
  • Deliver a range of specialist interventions at primary and secondary care level, including learning disability, personality disorder, and substance misuse/dual diagnosis.
  • Care Planning and risk assessing, with overall responsibility for the mental and physical health and well-being of offenders in their care.

Requirements
  • NMC Registration.
  • Degree supplemented by diploma, specialist training.
  • Minimum of 2 years' post qualification as an RMN.
  • Extensive clinical experience.
  • Supervisory experience of junior staff and students.
