About the Job

This Nursing Associate role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, contributing to the health and wellbeing of patients and service users.

As a key member of the Early Days in Custody team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized care in the best interest of people, working closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support qualified staff in delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
  2. Develop and implement effective health promotion activities and programmes.
  3. Assist patients with daily living activities, such as eating, drinking, movement, physical comfort, personal hygiene, and using toilet facilities.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic, needs-led care that considers physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
  5. Contribute to risk assessment and individualized care planning.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in nursing principles, with a focus on promoting health and wellbeing.

As a Nursing Associate, you must be able to work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, adhering to a nationally recognized code of conduct and being registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nursing Associate or NMC registration
  • Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification
  • English and Mathematics basic qualifications (e.g., GCSE at Grade C or above)
