We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Case Worker to join our team at Stonewater. As a key member of our Brighton Refuge, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to members of the LGBTQ+ community who are accessing our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide informed and strengths-based support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless and effective service delivery, promoting a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, building trust and confidence in our ability to support them.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring they are inclusive and responsive to the needs of our service users.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of working with vulnerable adults, particularly those experiencing domestic abuse.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and the specific challenges they face.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of our service users.
