We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Case Worker to join our team at Stonewater. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering informed and person-centred, strengths-based support to members of the LGBTQ+ community who are accessing our Brighton Refuge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals experiencing domestic abuse, with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community.
- Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Work closely with other agencies and organizations to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans to ensure the well-being and safety of individuals and their families.
- Provide education and awareness-raising activities to promote healthy relationships and prevent domestic abuse.
Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly the LGBTQ+ community.
- Strong understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
