We are seeking a highly skilled Adventure Learning Professional to join our team at George Watson's College, Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the Adventure Learning Programme, working closely with the Adventure Learning Manager to deliver a range of adventurous activities and training to pupils and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outdoor education, with experience in expedition planning, leadership, and training. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.

The role will involve:

  • Developing and delivering a range of adventurous activities and training, including skills courses, mountain days, and residential opportunities.
  • Liaising with pupils, parents, and staff to provide information and opportunities.
  • Working with the Educational and Community Partnerships Manager to provide access to Adventure Learning opportunities for state schools in the area.
  • Supporting teaching staff on Projects by delivering activities and providing technical support.
  • Developing a programme of training and development to raise staff skill and confidence in the outdoors.

The successful candidate will have a full clean driving licence and current water-based Scottish or National Governing Body awards would be an advantage. D1 training and further NGB training is available for the successful applicant.
