Renfrewshire Council is seeking an experienced and skilled Early Learning Specialist to contribute to the provision of a safe, caring, and stimulating nursery environment for all children.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a relevant curriculum in line with national and local guidance, planning, recording, implementing, and evaluating suitable programs of activities.

A key aspect of this role is maintaining and recording children's assessment progress, promoting parental participation, and ensuring the effective delivery of early learning services.

To be successful in this position, you must have experience working or training in an early learning and childcare setting, with a clear understanding of assessment and documentation of children's learning in line with national and local guidelines.

You should also possess the ability to plan and deliver a relevant and inclusive curriculum, demonstrate knowledge of child development, and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

A relevant practice qualification in early learning and childcare, such as an HNC in Childhood Practice at SCQF level 7 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 7 or equivalent, is essential.

Successful applicants must meet the registration requirements of the SSSC as a Practitioner of Day Care of Children Service within a designated timeline.

As part of the hiring process, you will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check, with the level of check determined by the duties of the post.

We offer a competitive salary of £28,785 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality early learning services.
