Adventure Learning Program Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Adventure Learning Professional to join our team at George Watson's College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the Adventure Learning Programme, working closely with the Adventure Learning Manager to deliver a range of adventurous activities and training to pupils and staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- To develop and lead the Adventure Learning Programme, including the delivery of skills courses, Mountain Days, and residential opportunities for pupils and staff.
- To work closely with the Adventure Learning Manager to ensure the effective management and support of pupils through the Duke of Edinburgh awards.
- To organise expeditions, including route planning, allocation of assessors, and booking of accommodation.
- To use existing school systems to ensure that expeditions and Adventure Learning opportunities are safely and appropriately managed.
- To support the Gold and Silver training team by attending training sessions and expeditions as an assessor, supervisor, and trainer.
- To develop the strategy for the delivery of adventure learning through Adventure Club, including the opportunity to develop pupil agency.
Requirements:
- A full clean driving licence.
- Current water-based Scottish or National Governing Body (SGB or NGB) awards would be an advantage.
- Ability to develop and deliver a coherent programme of activities in line with the aspire curriculum vision.
- Experience of working with pupils with additional needs.
Contract Type: 0.6 FTE, Permanent
