Independent Advocate for Survivors

This role provides a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of survivors of sexual violence and abuse. As an Independent Advocate for Survivors, you will work within a multi-agency framework to deliver high-quality services, monitor the care pathway, and ensure timely interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support to survivors of sexual violence
  • Work with local agencies to develop and deliver effective services
  • Monitor the care pathway and ensure timely interventions
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop individualized plans
  • Collaborate with other professionals to achieve best outcomes

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

A strong background in supporting victims of sexual violenceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work autonomously and as part of a teamFamiliarity with local agencies and servicesAbility to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

Working Environment and Benefits

This is a full-time position based in Ulverston, South Cumbria, with opportunities for career development and progression. The salary is approximately £28,050 per annum, rising to £33,419 after two years. In addition, you will receive 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, pension, and enhanced sick pay allowances.
