Duty Advocates are often the first point of contact for individuals and professionals wishing to refer people into our advocacy services. T**he purpose of the advocacy role is to make sure that the wishes views and rights of an individual are taken into account by professionals. The role is very rewarding and offers the opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge everyday, work with great people and help vulnerable people.**

Our Duty Advocate team have a vacancy for a part-time, information and referral worker, who will benefit from joining a busy and dynamic team in a truly hybrid working environment.
- The successful applicant will be part of a team providing the first point of contact into our advocacy services, so customer focus is imperative. The successful applicant will be provided with a thorough induction training program and will be able to demonstrate:
- Sound listening skills- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- The drive to manage a complex workload- Good IT skills- The ability to collect and record data accurately
- Key duties will include:
- Using a triage approach resolve any immediate enquiries/needs- Assessing eligibility for advocacy services and making appropriate referrals- Signposting to additional services and support- Recording data accurately and in a timely manner- Managing safeguarding situations in line with policy
