Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics Analytical Engineer Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Thermal Hydraulics Specialist to join our team at Rolls-Royce in Derby. As part of our nuclear propulsion plant design and safety team, you'll apply cutting-edge analytical methods to develop next-generation technologies with academia.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Experimental Engineering Team to verify and validate thermal hydraulic models. Additionally, you'll create advanced analysis tools, including automation, data assimilation, and uncertainty quantification for production methods.

Your responsibilities will include conducting technical analysis of the core, plant, and components to support safety cases, as well as performing bespoke thermal hydraulic assessments for existing and future products.

To succeed in this position, you'll need experience in thermal hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer. A strong academic background in engineering, physics, or a scientific subject is essential.
