We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Engineering Consultant to provide Finite Element analysis in ABAQUS (explicit or implicit) and assist in proposal writing and other related bidding activities. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of structural integrity and defect tolerance assessments.

Requirements

Nuclear industry experience (defence) preferable but not essential if transferrable skills from other discipline can be demonstrated e.g. fatigue, fracture, thermal and structural stress assessments using finite element analysis.

Potential travel to clients site for meetings is possible. Key Skills and Qualifications include:

  • Finite Element analysis in ABAQUS (explicit or implicit)
  • Code assessment to ASME B&PCV and R6 (fracture assessments)
  • RCC-M desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge of structural integrity and defect tolerance assessments
  • Fatigue crack initiation experience (desirable)

Estimated salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year.
