About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Support Worker to join our team as a Care Assistant. This is a rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care services to elderly individuals in our residential care homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with personal care, food and drink, and administering medication. They will also support residents in all aspects of daily life, promoting choice, independence, and dignity.

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to be trained), excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional care services. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, working on average 38.5 hours per week on a 2-week rolling rota, including weekends. We offer a competitive salary of £23,500-£26,500 per annum, depending on experience, and access to comprehensive training and development opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting residents with personal care, food and drink, and administering medication
  • Supporting residents in all aspects of daily life, promoting choice, independence, and dignity
  • Providing encouragement and companionship by engaging with residents and other stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care services
