Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Research Nurse to join our Screening unit at hVIVO in Whitechapel, London. The successful candidate will provide effective leadership and oversight of screening/outpatient services, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the screening/outpatient areas, including workload allocation and staff supervision.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to staff in the clinical environment, ensuring competence in performing daily tasks.
  • Line manage screening nurses and Phlebotomists, supporting their professional development and well-being.
  • Oversee clinical consumables supply, equipment maintenance, emergency procedures, and staff training.
  • Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance quality at a cross-departmental level.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in running a high-volume outpatient clinic/service or Phase I or II clinical trials.
  • Well-developed knowledge and understanding of clinical supervision.
  • Previous demonstrable experience of managing a clinical team.
  • Competence in recording clinical assessments, such as vital signs, ECG, and phlebotomy.
  • Good GCP knowledge and experience in clinical trials.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team and create a productive, satisfying work environment.
  • Valid Immediate Life Support and registration with the NMC.
