Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Safeguarding Children Nurse to join our team as a full-time Advanced Stroke Research Nurse Specialist.

About the Role:

  • This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a qualified nurse with experience in clinical trials and research to take on a key role in our stroke research team.
  • You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clinical trials, ensuring protocols are adhered to, and patients receive the highest level of care.
  • As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will identify suitable patients for entry into clinical trials and support the research patient pathway from screening through to trial closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of clinical trials, ensuring protocols are strictly adhered to and patients receive the highest level of care.
  2. Identify suitable patients for entry into clinical trials and support the research patient pathway from screening through to trial closure.
  3. Work collaboratively with the Stroke Research Manager and wider team to manage trials, ensuring governance and regulatory requirements are met.
  4. Maintain accurate records and ensure all relevant information is documented in patient medical and nursing notes.
  5. Collect, coordinate, and computerize data generated from clinical trials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Evidence of continuous personal, professional, and academic development.
  • Previous research or clinical trial experience.
  • Accuracy to detail in data collection.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to trials.
  • Report writing and presentational skills.
