We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead on the delivery of high-quality research and clinical care for children and young people.

About the Role

This is a Band 6 position, with a salary range of £41,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working within an acute paediatric ward environment as a qualified nurse, with previous acute NHS experience. They will be responsible for leading on study set up activities, screening, recruiting, educating and monitoring children and young people in studies, as well as collating and documenting study data.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead on the delivery of high-quality research and clinical care for children and young people.
  • Develop and implement robust systems and processes to ensure the highest standards of clinical care and research governance.
  • Work closely with Principal Investigators and other members of the multidisciplinary team to enable the development and creation of clinical trials and studies.
  • Provide holistic nursing care to children and young people participating in research trials and studies.
  • Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team across commercial and non-commercial studies to deliver a seamless pathway for patients participating in research trials/studies.

Requirements

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Child)
  • Paediatric intermediate life support qualification and defibrillation skills
  • Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development
  • Experience of handling clinical incidents and complaints
