About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of a young child with an acquired brain injury.

Job Summary

This full-time position involves working 36 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, with a 4-week rotational rota that includes days and night shifts. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to the service user, enabling them to lead an active and fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing the care plan to ensure the service user's routines are followed and promoting their independence.
  • Providing personal care activities, including showering, catheter, and bowel care, while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Engaging with the service user throughout the day, encouraging participation in activities, and promoting social interaction.
  • Administering medication as prescribed, accurately recording observation checks, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Participating in domestic duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment for the service user.
Requirements
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate and up-to-date mandatory training certificates.
  • A minimum of 3 months' experience working in a hands-on care role, preferably with children or individuals with acquired brain injuries.
  • A referenceable work history and a valid UK driving license.
  • A bubbly and outgoing personality, with a true passion for making a difference in the lives of those under your care.
What We Offer

In return for your dedication and expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £23,500 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role also provides opportunities for professional growth and development within our organisation.
