We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic nursery assistant to join our team at TeachMatch.
About the Role:
As a nursery assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our nursery, including planning and implementing engaging educational activities for children.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Activity Planning: Assist in planning and implementing engaging educational activities for children, taking into account their individual needs and abilities.
- Child Supervision: Supervise and ensure the safety of children during playtime and structured activities, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
- Social and Emotional Development: Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions, promoting self-confidence and self-esteem.
- Nursery Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, ensuring it remains safe and welcoming for all children.
- Parent Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities, keeping them informed and involved.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment, working together to achieve common goals.
- Professional Development: Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in childcare and early childhood education, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in childcare or working with young children.
- Knowledge of nursery practices and early childhood education principles.
- Leadership qualities to help manage group activities effectively.
- A caring, patient, and nurturing attitude towards children.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations within the nursery environment.
Salary and Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on location), as well as opportunities for professional growth and development within TeachMatch.
