About the Role

As a highly skilled Children's Community Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children and young people with complex health needs in the comfort of their own homes.

Working as part of our innovative virtual ward pilot, you will work closely with the allocated band 6 community nurse to complete assessments and provide high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each child.

Your responsibilities will include undertaking individual health assessments, implementing and evaluating care plans, and managing medications, wounds, and other complex healthcare requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the band 6 community nurse to complete assessments and provide care in line with the virtual ward's criteria.
  • Undertake individual health assessments, implement and evaluate care plans, and manage medications, wounds, and other complex healthcare requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN/RCN) qualification.
  • Member of the relevant professional body (NMC).
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Ability to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
What We Offer

A competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
