Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the welfare and safety of looked-after children
  • Build positive relationships with children and young people, being a role model and advocate
  • Apply agreed therapeutic and behavioral management approaches
  • Provide opportunities for children to influence decisions affecting them and the service they receive
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure a seamless service centered on the child
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • NQF Level 3 qualification or equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a service supporting children and young people with complex needs
  • Knowledge of roles of other agencies and professionals in multi-agency settings
