About the Role

As a key member of our IT team, this Network and Systems Administrator Specialist role offers a chance to make a significant impact on our business operations. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and maintaining our Linux and Network infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation.

We are looking for an expert who can hit the ground running, with experience in implementing and maintaining Linux operating systems, network design, and support. If you're passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and have a keen eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you

  • Design, implement, and maintain physical and virtualized Linux operating systems and associated applications within our Enterprise environment
  • Ensure network infrastructure meets our business needs, designing and implementing solutions as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop scripts and automation tools for system configuration and process improvements (Infrastructure as code)
  • Proactively monitor Linux logs and identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Comply with Cyber Essentials controls for our Linux operating systems
  • Manage Linux-based software licensing (FlexNET)
  • Stay current with relevant infrastructure technologies and maintain accurate documentation
  • Investigate security incidents promptly and efficiently

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience
